Heal with Sacred Touch: The Sometimes Newsletter

A cozy scene with a white mug of hot chocolate on a tray with fall leaves, books, and a plaid blanket. A warm, autumnal mood.

Happy fall y'all! Funny how it's a season of endings and yet invites in so many beginnings. Back-to-school routines, new connections, and an abundance of inspiration means growing. And when we grow, it's time to update!

I've seen a tremendous amount of growth at Sacred Touch in just the last few months. Leading me to streamline and simplify booking processes, finetune my kink-affirming services, and explore ways to connect with a larger base of people and make my services more accessible. This newsletter provides updates on the new processes here at Sacred Touch and introduces you to other projects I'm working on, including community organizing, event planning, and creative writing.

Rope & Kink Services

Rope and other kink-related services require a high level of communication, comfort, and trust. These things take time to build, and ensuring these elements are present before any higher risk work is an essential element to providing the highest quality service. For rope and other kink-related services, the following requirements must be met:

  • Minimum 3 standard cuddle appointments. This allows us to get to know each other and become comfortable in each other's physical presence before higher risk or intensity work.

  • A consultation prior to the session. We'll discuss safety considerations, your goals and desires, boundaries and limits, and the best starting point for your rope or kink-based work.

  • Completed paperwork, including consent agreement. This will need to be reviewed and updated prior to all sessions.

Words of Whimsy and Wonder

I release a monthly newsletter through my Substack Words of Whimsy & Wonder. Whimsy and wonder are powerful agents of change. Whimsy describes a playful, often unusual or unexpected, nature. Wonder happens when surprise mingles with something beautifully admirable, unfamiliar, or inexplicable. There is wisdom found in both of these. I connect with my own inner and ancestral wisdom through poetry, personal essays, and short stories.

A free copy of the August 2025 newsletter is available on my Substack. This edition includes a personal reflection on the career change I'm making from violence intervention and prevention to body-based healing, kink and sexuality education, and writing. August's short story, From the Memories of the Rivers of Eden, tells the story Nara and Sol, two women whose love threatens an emerging patriarchy and ultimately transcends reality and time, showing us that pure love cannot be stopped. Community Support Ask

Ways to support Breakfast & Books listed on a black background: sponsorship options, newsletter, and volunteering details in teal and purple text.

My home has become a haven for teens and young adults in my community over the last several years. This haven expanded into a broader community this summer that's now facing a rapidly shifting and increasingly unstable landscape. The young people I care for are on the edge of adulthood, uncertain about the educational, housing, and professional opportunities in front of them. Despite the rising uncertainty, they have found security in my home and with each other. We have created a space built on my own expertise in violence prevention work, where we center pro-social connection, empathy, community, material and resource care, peer support, and mentorship.

I want to continue supporting them as they move into the new school year, which includes college for several of them. I'm hosting "Breakfast & Books" twice a week during the school year. This event provides them with free breakfast-for-dinner in a home environment. They're provided structure, a safe environment, and resources for studying, connecting, and supporting each other. Our first B&B had six students from 9th grade to college freshman. We're anticipating closer to ten for October's B&B's, and expanding to including middle schoolers.

As a single parent, I can't sustain the cost and workload to meet this demand alone. Especially in the aftermath of my layoff from work in the public health sector on federal contracts. I'm turning to my community for support. Together we can create safe spaces for young people to grow, heal, and organize.

Ways to Support Breakfast & Books

  3. Volunteer to help cook, clean, supervise, or tutor (virtual is available!)

Fall Cuddle Jam

Fall is made for cozy cuddles, but what happens if you don't have a special someone(s) or can't afford a cuddlists' fees? Introducing the Fall Cuddle Jam. This event educates participants on the impact of the nervous system on our overall well-being, how touch and connection can regulate the nervous system and support overall well-being, and how to negotiate a cuddle session. The event wraps up with a cuddle jam- bring your blankets, pillows, and stuffies and find someone or a few "someones" to snuggle the chilly days away with!

Match Maker Much

This monthly event is an opportunity to meet people to connect, play, and maybe even romance with. This is a strictly vanilla event and is highly vetted. More details to follow!

The best way to stay up-to-date on events is to follow me on social.
