Sacred Touch: Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sacred Touch?

Sacred Touch offers professional cuddle and rope therapy. These are touch-based services rooted in trauma-informed care and my ancestral healing practices of curanderismo. My work focuses on creating safe, consensual, and nurturing spaces where emotional, spiritual, and somatic healing can occur through intentional, non-sexual touch.

Is this a sexual service?

No, this is not a sexual service. While there are benefits in all forms of touch and value in sex work, my practice is centered on emotional support, nervous system regulation, grounding, and human connection. Clear boundaries are maintained at all times to ensure a safe and respectful environment for us both.

What training have you received?

I have completed all required trainings from cuddlist.com, a Professional Cuddle Therapy program. In addition, to the required and ongoing trainings provided through Cuddlist, I have over 15 years of experience supporting victims and survivors of interpersonal violence using a trauma-informed and empowerment-based approach. My professional experience as an advocate and trainer, combined with my Master of Social Work from Boston University uniquely equips me to provide a safe environment to support your healing journey.

Who are your services for?

Sacred Touch is for anyone seeking comfort, emotional support, grounding, or healing through safe, consensual touch. People of all backgrounds, identities, abilities, and experiences are welcome. This space is LGBTQ+ affirming, body-positive, and culturally affirming.

What is cuddle and rope therapy?

Cuddle and rope therapy are two non-sexual, touch-based, and therapeutic-focused services fostering connection, relaxation, and emotional support. Platonic touch can be a powerful tool for reducing stress, increasing oxytocin (the "feel-good" hormone), and helping us feel seen, safe, and soothed.

Rope therapy is a non-sexual, therapeutic-focused approach to the more traditional and commonly known form of Shibari rope. My practice is rooted in principles of trauma-informed care, somatic awareness, and consensual connection. Rope therapy sessions intentionally use simple holds, wraps, or harnesses to apply comforting, secure pressure to the body. This sensation, and the communication and trust involved, can help regulate the nervous system, promote mindfulness, and gently explore feelings of surrender. All at your pace and within your comfort levels.

What can I expect during a cuddle or rope session?

All sessions are fully clothed and guided by clear communication, respect, and mutual consent at every step. Cuddle and rope therapy are about honoring your needs, boundaries, and base- from conversation, to breathwork, to compression holds. Every session begins with a conversation about your intentions, boundaries, and comfort levels. Every choice- from cuddle to rope (or both!) to the pressure of hugs or wraps, is guided by your consent and needs.

Where do sessions take place?

Sessions take place at my "cuddle office." The address will be provided after booking and confirming your appointment for security reasons.

How do I book a session?

There is information on how to book a session on the "Book a Session" page of this website. There is a brief intake form for new clients to complete so I can provide the highest quality service possible.
